The site is an eelgrass (Zostera marina) meadow at depths between 8-16 ft MLW in the northern portion of Salem Sound. The substrate is sandy. We have been monitoring eelgrass at this site using the SeagrassNet protocol since 2008. In most years, we monitor in the Spring (April), Summer (July), and Fall (October). The eelgrass at this site exhibits seasonal variation in biomass and morphology. In-contrast, year-to-year, these characteristics have remained largely consistent to date.
