The 2025 Seagrass Identification Guide

The 2025 Seagrass Identification Guide is based on photographs of the major seagrass species and includes species range maps, drawings, and pictures of flowers for species in each of the 6 global bioregions. Ratings from IUCN Red List are included where available.

SeagrassNet Rapid

SeagrassNet Rapid is a rapid assessment protocol based on SeagrassNet methods and focuses on seagrass essential ocean variables. The Rapid protocol is geared towards small teams and small budgets, using affordable, low-tech equipment while still resulting in useful datasets. This new protocol will not replace the original SeagrassNet protocol but is meant to engage new teams to collaborate in the effort to monitor, protect and restore seagrass meadows around the world.
